Go2Goal enjoyed a successful summer training spell over the months of June, July, and August aside from all external factors.
With great excitement and pride, Go2Goal is thrilled to share with the public the great success they enjoyed over the past 3 summer months. Summer training commenced June 3, and just finished up this week.
As COVID restrictions limited a number of training ideas, Kia Zolgharnain and Prayag Jina had to remain calm, yet innovative during these profound times. With the pair leading over 150 training sessions over the summer - training over 400 players - all eyes were on how they would overcome health and safety precautions. By taking sanitary measures of consistently washing equipment every day, after each use, players and families were able to stay as healthy as possible, given the worldly circumstances.
By training all ages from 5-25 years old, the pair saw vast growth in players, specifically in their fitness, agility, and first touch. Not only did they embark on this summer program to improve the physical nature of things, but they also emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of mental stamina, resilience, and maturity.
A few of our standout players that head back to their fall teams include college players RC Schmeider (University of Louisville), Keenan Sweeney (Air Force), Adam Lubell (Marshall), Griffin Meyer (University of Denver), and many more. Go2Goal was also excited to have trained current professional player, Kota Umeda, as he enjoys his second spell back in Portugal.
With such great older players acting as role models, Go2Goal created a fantastic training environment for the younger players as they trained day in, day out with an unmatched intensity and eyes on the next level. By building positive habits, maintaining an elite level of discipline, and pushing themselves to new limits, these young players are something to be excited about for the future years.
As the summer winds down, Go2Goal prepares to recharge, and hit this fall season with a full head of steam. With the new fall schedule to be released, Go2Goal is planning on continuing critical on-field youth development, which will translate to holistic growth and fulfillment in the years to come.
